Where does JeeQ Data collect product information and sales data? What about accuracy?
JeeQ Data obtains product information and sales data as it is published on certain merchant websites and available from merchant data service APIs. The data is authentic and accurate to the extent of what each merchant has published. JeeQ Data does not manipulate any part of the sales data except to track and present it formatted for your analysis. .
How frequently does JeeQ Data collect product sales data?
JeeQ Data’s services run daily to collect product sales and product information. They are scheduled to run in the early AM (US Eastern Time) hours, so for most US subscribers, the sales data is ready at the beginning of the workday.
How reliable are JeeQ Data services?
From day one, our company goal has been to be a world leader in online sales data processing and analysis. We chose one of the largest and most reliable cloud services in the world Microsoft Azure to host and run JeeQ Data’s database system and backend services. We employ failover and backup plans for both our website and databases.
How reliable is my subscription data?
JeeQ Data services run daily to get your subscription data. Usually, most of the data can be collected successfully in early morning hours US Eastern Time. In the event the process is unsuccessful, (see immediately below for reasons) JeeQ Data’s service will automatically retry 9 times during the day until it obtains the current data.
JeeQ Data’s services rely on the merchant websites or their web services to scrub the sales data. There are rare times their services may be delayed. There may be times when the merchant changes the data format without notice and JeeQ Data’s services do not yet recognize it. In the case of failure, JeeQ Data’s engineers will be notified and the services will retry 9 times during the day to retrieve the data.
Which products can JeeQ Data track by sales rank?
We can track most of the products being sold on Amazon.com and BestBuy.com. Walmart.com and Sears.com does not yet publically publish product rank information, so that data is not available at this time. As a subscriber, you can choose your own customized product lists to track.
What is product sales rank?
Product sales rank is the hierarchical position of a product according to number of units sold, compared to other products within a provider’s inventory, or within the same or similar product categories.
BestBuy.com ranks products compared with all other products for sale on its website.

How often do merchants rank product sales?
According to Amazon.com, the ranking number is the number of products sold hourly. However, the ranking numbers are not determined at the exact hour of publication. Therefore, the ranking data may be delayed by a few hours.
JeeQ Data uses BestBuy.com’s daily ranking data if available. If daily data is not available, we use its ranking for the past 2~4 days.
What are Product Groups?
JeeQ Data subscribers are able to select products of their choosing into customized groupings which will continue to be tracked daily. Users can use product groups to generate product comparison reports and can re-define product groupings as needed.
Is there a charge for creating Product Groups?
No, there is no extra charge for JeeQ Data subscribers to create and use Product Groups. Users pay a subscription fee to track products and Product Groups are another feature to help them manage their tracked products.
How is category product rank calculated?
Like product sales ranking, category product ranking is the hierarchical position of a product according to number of units sold, compared to other products within that specific product group or category.
Which categories can be tracked for top seller analysis?
In the simplest terms, you can track category product rank for all 4 merchants we cover: Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Sears.com and BestBuy.com. However, it also depends on whether the merchants provide best seller product information or allow sorting by best seller on their website. For the majority of Amazon.com and Walmart.com categories, best sellers can be tracked. For BestBuy.com, many of their categories are for classification and information purposes, so there is nop roduct list available that can be sorted by category.
How many top seller products does JeeQ Data track for any given category?
Currently we present the top 5 to top 25 bestselling products for category sales analysis.
How does JeeQ Data compile the Category summary report?
First, JeeQ Data services determine the top 25 bestselling products in that category. Each product has a number of key properties applicable to a given category. We are currently able to analyze the category summary by the following properties: brand, manufacturer, model number, color, operating system, hardware platform and product group. We calculate the percentage of market share for each of the applicable properties based on how many times each property appears in the top 25 list for the timeframe under review.For example: using cell phones, in the table below a total of 20 of the top selling phones were sold over two days. The market share report based on the color property reveals results in the bottom line of the table:
In addition to analyzing the same summary report by other product properties, the analysis period can cover as much time for which data exists.
What is a Self-defined Category?
A Self-defined category is a customized product category created by JeeQ Data subscribers. It is created either: 1. by refining an existing merchant category by applying filters or price ranges or; 2. by using the URL from an internet search query on the merchant site. The latter method also allows the subscriber to take advantage of the sort order offered on the merchant site.
What is the difference between the reporting of a Self-defined Category and a Merchant Category?
The same reporting matrix and data presentation applies to both types of categories.
To create a Self-defined Category:
For example: You want to track the top selling gas grills priced $200~$400 at Walmart.com, sorted by Best Sellers.
Step 1: Go to Walmart.com, enter search terms for "gas grill"
Step 2: Add a price range filter
Step 3: Sort the product list by "Best Sellers"
Step 4: Perform the search and if results are acceptable, copy the URL.
Step 5: Login to jeeqdata.com and from the Category Report page or from the My Account page, choose Manage Categories. Then under Track More Categories, click on Create Self-defined Categories tab and paste in the URL you copied in step 4.
Step 6: Provide a category name and (optional) category description, click on Track Selected Categories, then follow the confirmation dialog to continue.
Step 7: Congratulations, you have created your own category. In a few minutes you can go to the Category Report to see the results.
How safe is my billing information with JeeQ Data? Can I trust JeeQ Data’s billing service?
JeeQ Data LLC uses the PayPal Payment Gateway to process our billing and payment services, so we do NOT save any of our customer's payment information in our system.
How does JeeQ Data charge for its services?
The services JeeQ Data LLC provides subscription-based and are completely on-demand, meaning that you can subscribe and unsubscribe anytime. You are charged according to the items you subscribe to and the length of time your subscription exists. The minimum billing unit is one month, so if you only subscribed to one product or category for 10 days of one month, you will be charged for the full month.

Billing rates are subject to change. You will be notified in advance of any rate changes to your account, but there may be a delay for changes to appear on this page.
What are the billing cycle dates? How did I get charged?
JeeQ Data LLC will send an invoice to our customers’ emails the first day of each month. The billing amount will be the total of subscription fees for the previous month.
For customers who have deposited funds with PayPal and have JeeQ credit, we will deduct the amount due from your credit balance. If you set up automatic billing, you will be charged by the payment method you set up. If you have both, we will first charge your JeeQ credit balance and if there are not enough funds, then the rest of the amount will be charged against your automatic payment account.
What is maximum billing amount in Auto billing setup?
If you choose to use automatic billing, you can control your monthly spending limit by setting the maximum amount that JeeQ Data LLC can charge your account per billing cycle.
What if my monthly spending exceeds the maximum billing amount I setup?
If your monthly expense exceeds the maximum amount you setup in automatic billing, JeeQ Data LLC will charge you the maximum amount allowed by your automatic billing. The remaining balance owed will go to your next billing cycle.
Can I get a refund of my credit balance if I decide to stop using JeeQ Data services?
Yes. If you decide to cancel all your JeeQ Data subscriptions and stop using the service, make a request. We will refund your remaining credit balance less a processing fee (normally 3~5% depending on the refund method you choose.)
Can I get a refund if the data I subscribed to is missing?
There are times JeeQ Data service will not be able to get the sales data that you subscribed to for reasons described above. If your sales data has been missing more than 6 days in a single month, please let us know. We will investigate and refund the subscription fee for affected products for that month if the omission is caused by our service.
JeeQ Data service is running against tens of thousands of product categories and millions of products from some of the world’s largest online retailers. The source retailers continually update product catalogs and categories. If you notice your subscribed product/category is missing data, please email us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our engineering team will investigate your product issue within one business day and most times we should have a solution within one week.
